Easter Sunday here and Alison is safely back in Melbourne after her 2-day visit here.
Lovely weather now with cool nights and mornings but the days are very short - daylight saving can't end soon enough.
Have packed for my trip - a miracle I know: but made necessary as I had stuff strewn all over the floor of the room Alison was to sleep in so I had to do something heroic - like get a suitcase out (and there seemed little point in just throwing it all in - tempting as it was) and so now it is properly in, which frees my mind to think of things that need to be added (or taken out!).
It's already looking like too much - and I haven't packed in the stuff yet I plan to take to Panama for Kathryn and Sophie...

Still training
The Snowy Mountains beckoned - still searching for altitude opportunities but the highest peak in Australia at 2228m is still way short of the 4090m (at Potosí, one of the world's highest cities) that we will experience in Bolivia.
Nevertheless, Dave & I tackled the Main Ridge circuit from Charlotte Pass to Mt Kosciuszko and return last weekend - 20 kms with 500 m of climbing. Soooo beautiful. [more below]

Last weekend I tackled the Six Foot Track in the Blue Mountains (from Jenolan Caves to Katoomba) - 3 days, 45 kms, up and down.
Been on my bucket list so can tick that one off now too!
